Dear NPA members and friends,
We are hosting a live, in person CE event on Wednesday October 23rd at 6:30pm at the Rhoades Conference Center (Room A) inside the Robert L. Strickland Center at Forsyth Technical Community College located at 1615 Miller Street in Winston-Salem, NC 27103. I mentioned at our last meeting that this event would be held at the Carriage House Restaurant, but we decided to try out a different venue at Forsyth Tech that offers better classroom style seating and audiovisual capabilities.
Madison Wilson, PharmD from the Salisbury VA will be delivering our educational program for the evening entitled Optimizing Patient Care with Continuous Glucose Monitoring which will include hands on demonstrations with CGM devices. The objectives of this educational program are as follows:
- Understand the functionality of CGMs
- Identify appropriate candidates for CGM use
- Interpret CGM Data and Metrics
- Explain how CGM data can be integrated into clinical practice
We have requested 2.0 hrs. of contact CE from NCAP for this program, accepted by NCBOP for RPh license renewal and by PTCB for CPhTs. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide ACPE credit for renewal in states other than NC. CPhTs will need to upload CE to PTCB.
Please rsvp by clicking on the link in this email or navigate to the events tab on our website northwestpharm.org and follow the prompts to RSVP. This is a live event. No Zoom link will be provided so please try to arrive promptly by 6:30 pm. A meal will be served (probably Greek food) and the program will begin after everyone has moved through the serving line and is seated.
Please register by Monday October 21st so that I can provide the event coordinator and caterer with a final head count to ensure that we have enough tables set up and food ordered for everyone.
If you have not already joined our organization or renewed your membership for 2024, there will be a charge of $25 for this meeting. You may bring a check to the event or pay online.
If you have any questions, you may contact me at robertsrph2@gmail.com or call me at 336-414-4380 if you need help finding the room.
Thanks, and we hope to see you there!
