Dear Colleagues,

We will host our next virtual CE program via Zoom on Wednesday May 13th, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Abigail Murray, from the Salisbury VA, will deliver her presentation titled “The Clot Thickens: Peri-Procedural Management of DOACs”

This program has been submitted for 2 hours of contact CE, accepted by the NCBOP for pharmacists and by the PTCB for pharmacy technicians.

Important Update to CE Process

At the end of the meeting, participants will receive a one‑time NCAP link to claim CE credit. This link must be used within 14 days. NCAP will maintain our CE records and will report the hours earned to the Board of Pharmacy. You may view your CE history at any time through your NCAP account. CE credits will appear on your NCAP account approximately 14 days after the meeting. You may need to create a free NCAP account if you are not already an NCAP member.

Membership

If you have not yet joined or renewed your 2026 membership, please visit our website so Cathy Craig‑Wilder (Treasurer) and Justine Maher (CE Record Keeper) can update the roster of members eligible for CE credit. Please enter your name in the Zoom chat upon joining meetings to help us verify attendance. Only active members or those who have paid the per‑meeting fee may use the NCAP link to claim CE credit.

Annual dues and per meeting fees remain unchanged for 2026 (payable online):

· $95 for pharmacists (RPh)

· $45 for certified pharmacy technicians (CPhT)

· $25 per meeting

Members who join our organization and wish to join NCAP statewide may use the discount code NorthWest95 to reduce NCAP’s annual fee from $275 to $180 for employed pharmacists, and from $125 to $95 for retired pharmacists.

Live - In Person CE Program 5/27 at Little Richard's BBQ - Hormone Therapy (May 27, 2026)

Dear Colleagues,

We will host a live in-person CE program on Wednesday May 27th, 2026 starting at 6 PM at Little Richard’s BBQ -109 S Stratford Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104. The presentation will begin 6:30 to 7pm when everyone is seated. Dinner is included with your registration. Jerry Beamer, RPh, owner of Andrews Apothecary will be discussing compounded hormone replacement therapy. The title of his presentation is “Black Box Warnings Lifted! Interest in BHRT Surges"

There will be no virtual – Zoom option for this meeting on the 27th. We have a virtual -Zoom meeting on anticoagulants scheduled for May 13^th if you prefer to get your CE at home this month. You can sign up for both meetings on the 13^th and 27^th. We cancelled our meeting in February so this is a catch-up month.
